On 5 March 2023, His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah visited the Orang Asli community at KOA Kuala Boh, a community that benefits from free internet access through the Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) initiative under the JENDELA Programme.Upon arrival, His Majesty was warmly welcomed by the villagers with a traditional Sewang dance, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of the Orang Asli community. The visit was attended by 128 heads of households and approximately 200 children, who gathered to greet His Majesty and participate in the occasion. The visit highlighted the positive impact of connectivity initiatives in rural and underserved communities, where reliable internet access supports education, communication, access to information, and broader socio-economic development. As one of the BWA sites under the JENDELA Programme, KOA Kuala Boh serves as an example of how digital infrastructure can help bridge the connectivity gap and create greater opportunities for local communities.
